Thank Trees for Your Clean Air!

cleanair

There’s nothing like the feeling and smell of nice clean air. But so many of us take it for granted. Did you know that our clean air is due to the trees that are in our yards and by the road? There’s a lot of fun things that happen in May. Mother’s Day is one of the most memorable ones.

But just a few days after Mother’s Day is another day that a lot of people don’t know about. May 16th is a special day called National Love a Tree Day. This is the day that we celebrate those beautiful trees that give us shade and beauty, along with cleaning our air.

Clean Air Helps You Breathe Better

breatheIf you have a child who has a lot of health problems, or you have problems such as pneumonia, flu, bronchitis and other types of respiratory conditions, cleaner air can help these problems go away.

Cleaner air will help with problems of asthma and allergies, since when the air is cleaner it will have fewer allergens and pollutants in it.

It will lower respiratory complications and promote the capability of the body to breathe easily. This means fewer trips to the doctor and fewer days of missed work or school. Just imagine how big a difference it will make!

Change the Filter of Your HVAC System for Clean Indoor Air

hvacsystemHaving your windows open is a wonderful feeling, but it also lets pollution in and affects your clean air inside. That’s why having the right HVAC system’s important.

Your system’s filter has a main purpose of preventing the dust from getting into your cooling and heating system. However, it also impacts your home’s indoor air quality.

The air that is coming through the system is going to pass through your filter before anything else. That’s why a filter that’s clean or new is going to give you cleaner air. This is going to make a big difference in your home and how you and your family feel.

Celebrate by Sitting Beneath a Tree

loveatreeThe weather’s warm, and most trees have ample leaves so that there’s shade. Go outside, walk and look for a nice, shady tree. It’s a good idea to bring your children too and you can even bring a picnic lunch.

Have your children sit down and bring a book to read to them about trees. Shel Silverstein’s book The Giving Tree’s a great choice. It’s a sweet book that children will love.

Reading under the tree is a great way to spend time as a family and to enjoy the beauty of nature. At Alberta Indoor Comfort we want to make sure that you have clean air and that your HVAC system is working safely and securely.
